First Day of School

Most people take pictures of their kids for the first day of school...waiting at the bus stop, getting on the bus with their back packs full of stuff. Not me, Dare to be different I always say...

Anyways - My girls (ages 16 and 13) would be HORRIFIED if I even thought about taking their picture on the first day of school!!! So I decided to take a picture of something I had not seen all summer... something I typically only see during the school year...

Oakland County 4H Fair

So I was the photographer for the Oakland County 4H Fair small and large animal auctions... Very challenging job. I was hip-checked by a steer and thrown across the arena...leg swelled up, bruised but the show went on. I had to shoot with no tripod in a low-light situation with moving animals... All in all I did not do too bad. i will be getting a wide angle lens for next year so I don't have to be so far back and can use a tripod...Here is one of my shots - a fellow photographer wannabe who had the reserve grand champion pairs lamb - Brandon Ritchie...

So I went to a local greenhouse and tried my hand at flower photography just before work (Had about 15 minutes). Here are my favorites!
